  "abstract": "In this interactive session, we invite app developers as well as people interested in the topic of location privacy to explore possible ways to improve the current practices of consent and location data handling. What tools will help developers in building privacy friendly location based apps? How can informed consent UX be improved?",
  "description": "(deutsche Beschreibung unten)\r\n\r\nBased on the location history of a mobile phone, deep inferences can be made about a person\u2019s life - thus posing a privacy risk that users are often not aware of. Also, the UX of location sharing in mobile apps is currently severely lacking.\r\nIn this interactive session, we invite app developers as well as people interested in the topic of location privacy to discuss various perspectives on location privacy and explore possible ways to improve the current practices of consent and location data handling. What is missing to develop privacy friendly location based services?\r\nThe results of this workshop will flow into an open source project that is aimed to enable developers to work responsibly with location data and ultimately give users the opportunity to regain sovereign control over this data.\r\n\r\nFor planning, it would be nice to shoot us a quick mail if you want to participate (workshop@simport.net, not mandatory though).\r\n\r\n---\r\n\r\nStandortdaten stellen ein untersch\u00e4tztes Risiko f\u00fcr die pers\u00f6nliche Privatsph\u00e4re dar, da sie f\u00fcr Inferenzen zwischen verschiedenen Datens\u00e4tzen verwendet werden k\u00f6nnen. Nutzer haben bei der Freigabe ihrer Standortdaten oft mangelnde Kontrollm\u00f6glichkeiten.\r\nIn diesem Workshop laden wir App-Entwickler_innen und Datensch\u00fctzer_innen ein, Perspektiven zur Verarbeitung von Standortdaten auszutauschen, und neue Interaktionsformen f\u00fcr Standortfreigabe & Informed Consent zu entwerfen: Was braucht es, um datenschutz-freundliche Apps mit Standortzugriff zu bauen?\r\nDie Ergebnisse des Workshops werden in ein Open Source Projekt einflie\u00dfen, das App-Entwickler_innen unterst\u00fctzt verantwortungsvoll mit Standortdaten umzugehen, und Nutzer_innen erlaubt Souver\u00e4n ihrer Daten zu sein.\r\n\r\nDas Workshop-Material ist auf Englisch vorbereitet, je nach Teilnehmenden k\u00f6nnen wir den Workshop gerne auf Deutsch halten.
